The campaign to support local entrepreneurs who have overcome adversity is part of the South Bend Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program (SBEAP). Launched in 2019, SBEAP is a 11 month intervention program that works with low income and other individuals in adverse conditions who are attempting to launch businesses of their own. The program includes six components: training, mentoring, student consulting, community connection events, microcredit, and tracking/research. More information can be found here. The program is coordinated by the McKenna Center for Human Development and Global Business at the University of Notre Dame. Contact Prof. Michael Morris at mmorri24@nd.edu or (574) 631-9880 with any questions about SBEAP.
